Fitch Even Partner Thomas Lebens Appointed to AYSO National Board

December 8, 2011

Fitch Even partner Thomas F. Lebens was recently appointed by the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) National Board of Directors as a member of the Board of Directors, filling the vacancy resulting from the death of Michael Fultz, the incumbent officer, in early November. Mr. Lebens will serve on the board until May 2012. He will also continue in his current role as Chair of the AYSO National Legal Commission.

AYSO, a national association of the United States Soccer Federation, has been the leader in establishing groundbreaking youth soccer programs in the U.S. Founded in 1964, AYSO now has over 50,000 teams and more than 600,000 players. Its vision is to provide world-class youth soccer programs that enrich children’s lives, with a strong emphasis on ethics and sportsmanship and the development of the whole child.

Mr. Lebens focuses his intellectual property law practice on the prosecution of patent, trademark, and copyright applications, as well as matters involving IP and business strategy, licensing, and infringement issues. In addition to his patent practice, he currently manages West Coast operations for Fitch Even’s San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Luis Obispo offices.
