IP Alert: U.S. Supreme Court Upholds Copyright Law Protecting Foreign Works

The U.S. Supreme Court issued a copyright ruling of great significance today in Golan v. Holder, upholding Congress's authority to withdraw works previously in the public domain and to restore the copyright rights in such works, as part of implementing the terms of an international treaty.
