On May 25, Fitch Even partner Joseph T. Nabor and associate Selena M. Spritz led a lively and informative panel discussion on “Seven Deadly Intellectual Property Sins and How to Avoid Them” during the Techweek 2012 Conference + Expo at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago.
The panel focused on seven common IP-related mistakes that companies make and shared tips on how businesses can create a solid intellectual property platform that will help deflect potential challenges while keeping the company on a targeted path to growth. They also discussed the contracts that are crucial to properly protect a business's intellectual property.
The annual Techweek Conference was created to showcase the technology resurgence evolving in Chicago and the Midwest, bringing together technology professionals and industry leaders, business owners, entrepreneurs, investors, designers, and developers from Fortune 500 companies to startups. Tripling the attendance of last year’s conference, over 6,000 people attended programs, participated in workshops and demos, and perused exhibits over five days.
