IP Alert: USPTO Publishes New Fee Schedule

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) recently published its new schedule of fees. This fee schedule provides for reduced fees for applicants who claim small entity status and even lower fees for so-called "micro entities." Most of the new fees become effective on March 19, 2013; the remaining fees become effective January 1, 2014.
