Fitch Even Partner Christine Pompa to Speak at PLI Patent Litigation 2014

Fitch Even partner Christine A. Pompa will be a speaker during the Practising Law Institute (PLI) Patent Litigation 2014 seminar on October 6-7 at the University of Chicago Gleacher Center in Chicago.

During this annual program, experienced patent litigators will provide information on a wide range of topics, including recent changes in patent law including key court decisions and recent and pending patent legislation; when to use alternative dispute resolution proceedings; strategy and tactics in reexamination and post-grant review proceedings; managing multi-party litigation; current trends in patent damages in the post-Uniloc environment; and strategies in defending against willfulness and the role of opinions. U.S. District Court judges will also share their views on patent litigation, including the impact patent rules have had, as well as practical tips for more-efficient handling and disposition of patent cases.

Christine will be co-presenting a session on October 6 covering “Willful Infringement, Current Defensive Strategies, and the Role of Opinions.” Her co-presenter will be Clinton H. Christine’s practice focus is on intellectual property litigation and opinion counseling. She has represented clients in a number of technical fields including medical and surgical devices, automotive technologies, food processing, agricultural equipment, computer software, telecommunications, and spatially-referenced imagery systems.
