Fitch Even Partner Joe Nabor to Speak on Privacy and Civil Liberties at ISBA Program

Fitch Even partner Joseph T. Nabor will be a featured presenter at the CLE program “Mining Data and Privacy: A Primer,” presented by the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) Intellectual Property Section on September 10, 2015, in Chicago. The program will cover data security and privacy concerns, as well as the numerous federal and state laws that govern data and privacy.

Joe’s session will focus on “Privacy and Civil Liberties,” specifically those issues and concerns that can arise during the data mining process. Topics he will discuss will include the NSA’s Data Collection and Letters, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, existing privacy protections and statutes, and the push for transparency, including Twitter’s recent lawsuit in federal court. 

The program can be attended live or via webcast and is targeted toward corporate attorneys, business law practitioners, employment lawyers, intellectual property counsel, and legal technology attorneys. For more information and to register, please visit the ISBA website.
