Fitch Even partner Thomas F. Lebens will be a featured speaker at a San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce lunch program on “Cybersecurity: What Your Small Business Can't Afford Not to Know.” The program will take place on September 22, 2015, at the MINDBODY campus in San Luis Obispo, California.
The panelists will discuss how small businesses and nonprofit organizations can develop a cybersecurity plan, build networks that comply with legal standards, and learn how to respond if their system and client/donor information is compromised. Tom will specifically review current regulatory policies for security as they relate to different types of business; response to and notification of security breaches, including working with law enforcement; the pros and cons of reporting breaches; and security-related liability risks.
