Professional Activities
December 4, 2015
On December 2, 2015, Fitch Even attorneys Joseph T. Nabor and Christian C. Damon served as guest lecturers at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), as part of a course on Internet Applications in Business.
During the presentation, Joe discussed essential intellectual property law concepts as they relate to digital marketing, software, and online content, covering information on trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. Christian provided information on patents, including their purpose, the different types, what they protect, and requirements for patentability.
The course is offered by UIC’s Department of Information and Decision Sciences program, which explores the synergies among information technology, business data and analytics, e-business, supply chain management, and risk management in today’s business organizations.
