Fitch Even partner Steven G. Parmelee will present a CLE program titled “Where Do Patents Come From?” at a meeting of the Idaho First District Bar Association on October 21 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. During the program, Steve will explain the process by which an invention becomes a patent, with particular emphasis on the administrative process (including typical costs and time frames) rather than on the substantive tests for patentability.
Steve has extensive experience in complex patent preparation and prosecution in the U.S. and abroad. He has assisted clients with patent portfolio management, freedom-to-operate issues, complex litigation, and transactions for over 40 years. Steve frequently presents and writes on intellectual property issues and is a founding member of the International Association of Innovation Professionals.
